3. Steam clean and extract.

4. Apply stain resistant.

Carpet that is properly steam cleaned by Monty's services will dry within 12 hours. Carpet that is properly extraction cleaned will not be wet long enough to mold.

Why should I have my carpets Professionally steam cleaned?

Keeping sand and dirt out from between the fibers of your carpet will greatly reduce wear and tare of your carpet. Steam Cleaning your Carpets will add life of your carpet. Carpet should always be cleaned the way the manufacturer specifies approximately every 12 - 18 months.

My carpet was soaked with water what should I do?

Your carpet should be professionally handled. First by extracting all water out of the carpet then use dryers setup and running for 12 - 24 hours. It’s best to use one of our professionals that are trained in water restoration in order to ensure carpet, pad & sub-floor is completely dried within 12 to 24 hours to prevent mold. If the carpet was contaminated with sewage, it is recommended to replace the carpet and the padding.

My carpet was flooded by a sewer back up. Can I save the carpet?

We don’t recommend trying to save sewage contaminated carpet. Highly absorbent materials such as carpet and pad cannot be washed in hot (130 degrees F) for at least 10 minutes. This contaminated material should be properly disposed of by one of our trained restoration professionals.

Is their a carpet that will not mold?

Anything can mold as long as there is moisture or a food source. Carpet, including those made of natural fibers such as wool, that is kept clean and dry shouldn’t have any mold growing on them.
